Bruins legend Zdeno Chara finishes Boston Marathon in spectacular time: ‘That man’s an animal’
Former NHL defenseman and Bruins legend Zdeno Chara competed within the Boston Marathon Monday, ending the 127th installment of the race in underneath 4 hours.
The 46-year-old participant introduced on Instagram final month that he can be working the race in assist of the Thomas E. Smith Basis and The Hoyt Basis.

The 2011 Stanley Cup champion didn’t disappoint in what he mentioned was his first-ever marathon, crossing the end line in 3:38:23.

“This was INCREDIBLE,” Chara wrote in an Instagram publish Monday. “I solely heard and will think about till I noticed it, heard it, and ran it.
“Thanks to everybody who got here to assist the 127th Boston Marathon yesterday. Large thanks to all of the volunteers who helped all of us get to the end line.
