
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — A twister made landfall in Palm Seaside Gardens, Fla., on Saturday as a strong storm system introduced intense rain and powerful winds to the state, toppling vehicles, damaging houses and breaking tree branches.
The Miami Nationwide Climate Service mentioned the twister struck close to Palm Seaside Gardens Medical Heart late Saturday afternoon with winds reaching 100 mph and was transferring northeast towards the coast.
Storm injury pressured authorities within the coastal metropolis to shut key metropolis roads whereas staff cleared particles and inspected wreckage. Pictures from the scene confirmed overturned vehicles, damaged tree branches resting on automobiles and houses, and different particles littering streets.
The Palm Seaside Gardens Police Division has not reported any main accidents or fatalities. A metropolis spokeswoman mentioned officers had disabled emergency protocols and have been engaged on ongoing points Sunday.
