New York Sheriff’s deputies fatally shoot man who opened fireplace throughout narcotics raid


A person was fatally shot by sheriff’s deputies after opening fireplace and wounding two deputies conducting a federal search warrant at a home in upstate New York on Tuesday, authorities mentioned.

Authorities have been conducting the search warrant in connection to a wide-ranging narcotics investigation being performed by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Zurlo mentioned. They confiscated a number of kilograms of cocaine, about 50 handguns and rifles, and “lots of of hundreds” of fentanyl drugs from three different websites related to the investigation, he mentioned.
