North Carolina newlywed bride killed, groom injured as lady allegedly driving drunk slams into their golfcart

A newlywed bride was killed and her husband was injured Friday night after a lady driving beneath the affect and greater than twice the velocity restrict slammed into the again of their golf cart close to Charleston, South Carolina.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Workplace says 34-year-old Samantha Miller of Charlotte, North Carolina died within the wreckage. She had simply gotten married per Folly Seaside Public Security Division Director Andrew Gilreath.

Authorities say 25-year-old Jamie Lee Komoroski was driving 65 mph in a rental automobile when she hit Miller’s golf cart round 10 p.m. Friday in Folly Seaside. The velocity restrict on the island is 25 mph.

Three others on the golf cart have been injured. Gilreath stated the golf cart had lights and was authorized to drive at night time. 

Komoroski is charged with reckless vehicular murder and three counts of driving beneath the affect inflicting demise. She faces as much as 25 years in jail on every DUI depend.
