Texas: Coast Guard rescues 3 from offshore oil rig close to Freeport after vessel sinks


The U.S. Coast Guard rescued three boaters from an offshore oil rig platform close to Freeport, Texas early Sunday morning.

Officers mentioned that Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston obtained a report at roughly 3 a.m. that the three watchstanders from Matagorda County Sheriff’s Workplace had been left stranded after their vessel started taking up water and sank.
